Andrew was already 5 weeks at this point but he did such a great job at sleeping and even getting into some scrunched up poses! I had such a great time with this beautiful new family. The morning started out very chilly and we only had a little time before dad had to leave so we quick did a couple family shots outside.(There was still frost on the ground.) This shoot was so fun as the mom really wanted to capture there family just being together and doing stuff they always do. "Z" loves to read books, loves to pick up sticks in the yard and they always make pancakes together as a family! I loved being able to witness the special bonds families have and this one truly loves and cares for each other. This was my only session this fall that the weather was crazy. We probably had 50mph winds this night plus it was pretty cold. I'm so glad mom brought hats for the girls or there hair would have been flying everywhere. If you can't tell the girls were also cold but they did a great job for the conditions we were in. And let's just talk about the outfits they had on, Boy were they cute and if there skirts came in my size I would get one! Hopefully I'll get a chance to photograph them in some warmer weather were we can really enjoy and play at our session. Thanks so much guys and hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

We literally had the greatest weather for this photo shoot! Not to hot and not to cold.

The boys did great also granted the short naps they had!

We started out at a great walking path with perfect leaves and great sunlight. We unfortunately were unlucky with some dog poop under some leaves that someone didn't pick up! Then off to find one more location and "M" mentioned that we could go to her in-laws as they have some barns on there property. And needless to said it was beautiful and I definitely think we should do it there next time and take advantage of all the other great spots we didn't get to use!

The Cutest 4 Girls!!

I love these girls and they are seriously so sweet! This photo shoot was a little different as our families meet out at this great place called A to Z Pizza. It's the cutest pizza place ever and it's out in the middle of nowhere and only open on Tuesdays. You can only get pizza there and you bring everything else.(plates, drinks, silverware, napkins, chairs, etc. etc.) Such a great atmosphere and a great place to take pictures! We just had time for a quick mini session and I was so bummed we didn't have more time as there were so many great spots for pictures. But we were losing our sun and our pizza was ready but it was so much fun! Thanks so much girls!

I had so much fun meeting the Satre Family in St.Paul! I loved being able to shoot somewhere new for a change and they picked a great location. Plus it was fun to see the skyline as they both work in St.Paul. Heidi is an old friend of mine from college where we were cheerleaders together at Waldorf College! Talk about a perfect session! Usually you always have to take a break to just let the kids regroup but this was the first session with my Beautiful Niece that she was just perfect and so Smiley. The Schroder Family!

Meet the Schroder's! This family is so very dear to our heart, as they use to be our Bible Study leaders and really took Justin and I under their wings when we lived in Milwaukee. These two are so full of great knowledge plus it's always a treat to be able to spend time with them. I was so honored that they asked me to take their family pictures while they were all vacationing in Minoqua this summer. Since it's only an hour from our cabin I couldn't pass it up!

Outfit Inspiration!

I get asked all the time about what should we wear for our photo shoot. That is a great question!

My best advice to you is to find outfits that go "Together". Don't worry about finding the same colors to all match. That usually ends in someone not loving what they are wearing. Pictures will always look better if everyone looks coordinated! Start simple. Find one outfit that you love and coordinate the rest of your family from that outfit. Keep in mind that colors will really bring out the pictures.

A great way to add to your outfit is to either add layers to your cloths or use a scarf, hat, or bow to go with your outfits. It can really add to the pictures.

Just remember to not stress about finding the perfect outfits. Make sure you check your closets before you go out shopping to see what you have that could work for you. Otherwise Gap, Old Navy, Target and Consignment stores are great places to look!

This was my youngest customer yet! I was so excited to do this shoot as he was only 4 days old and slept so good. I did get a chance to visit him in the hospital on his 2nd day of life and when I walked into the hospital room and saw the amazing window I was ready to do the photo shoot then and there! If this momma has baby number 4 someday that is were I will be doing the photo shoot as it had amazing light!(I'm a window person=:)) Thanks so much for letting me take his newborn pictures! ENJOY!!

My sister in law and I decided to do a Cousin Photo shoot this fall as a Christmas Gift for my Mother-in-law. We had this great farm to take pictures at and the kids just loved being able to run around. They did pretty good for the most part....had a couple times of each kid either crying or whining about something! But in the end we got some great shots! I can't wait to do it again especially since we have another boy to add to the mix now!

Well it took a lot of bribing to let Cayden let me take his pictures. I think he gets sick of being the model....but on the other hand little Blake was mad that he wasn't getting his pictures taken! At least I have one son that will have no complaints!! I did Cayden's photo shoot in 2 sessions. The first session lasted 15 minutes and I ended up with over 100 bug bites on my ankles and a cop stopping and telling Cayden to smile big. The other half we had the radio blasting in the car with the doors open so we could hear Go Fish are new favorite band! So it made for a fun shoot! I took some quick pictures of my friend Kaaryn that is due any day now! We did it really fast because every mom needs to remember their first Pregnancy! I can't wait to take pictures of her beautiful baby that is coming!!!

Lights and Backdrops!!

The next three post are not the norm for my photography. I was able to rent some lighting and backdrops to play around with so I don't normal have this kind of equipment. But it was so fun to just play around with! I can see someday having this but for now I'm going to stick with doing it outdoors! The pictures I think always turn out so much better and there's so much character added to the picture!!
